Ultherapy results at Skin&Co, Mississauga

Ultherapy gives a modest lift, slowly. Anyone describing it as a non surgical facelift is setting you up to be disappointed.

Ultherapy skin tightening in Mississauga

Ultherapy delivers focused ultrasound energy to the deep layer of tissue that a surgeon tightens during a facelift, without breaking the skin. That energy causes controlled tissue contraction and, over the following months, new collagen. The result is a modest lift to the brow, jawline and neck.

The word modest is doing real work in that sentence. Ultherapy suits early laxity in people who want gradual improvement and no downtime. It does not replace surgery, and where surgery is what someone actually needs, we say so and refer rather than sell a course that cannot deliver.

What it treats

What ultherapy
treat well.

And a few things they do not. If your concern is not here, the consultation is where we work out what would actually help.

Concerns treated by ultherapy in MississaugaLaser and Energy
  1. Early jawline laxity

The clearest indication, treated before laxity becomes pronounced.

  2. Brow position

A subtle lift that opens the eye area without touching the eyelid itself.

  3. Under the chin and neck

Modest tightening where laxity is early rather than established.

  4. Décolletage lines

Treated alongside the neck where appropriate.

  5. Maintaining a surgical result

Sometimes used to extend the life of previous surgery, in coordination with the surgeon.

S&C

How it works

How ultherapy work
at Skin&Co.

Four steps, in this order. Nothing is treated until it has been assessed, and nothing is repeated until it has been reviewed.

Ultherapy in Mississauga, step 1: honest assessment
01

Honest assessment

The most important step. We establish whether your laxity is early enough for this to help, and tell you plainly if it is not.

When we say no

When we decline
ultherapy.

We do not treat in these situations, and we will say so in the consultation, which you are not charged for.

  • Advanced laxity where surgery is the honest answer. We refer rather than take money for a modest result.
  • Anyone expecting a facelift outcome. The gap between expectation and reality is the main cause of disappointment with this treatment.
  • Significant weight loss planned in the near future, which changes the picture entirely.
  • Open wounds, active infection or severe acne in the treatment area.
  • Pregnancy, as a precaution.
  • Anyone wanting a result for an event in the next three months. It will not have arrived.

Questions

Ultherapy
questions, answered.

The Skin&Co consultation room in Mississauga
Is Ultherapy a non surgical facelift?

No, and we would rather say so plainly. It produces a modest lift in early laxity. A facelift repositions tissue surgically and the two are not comparable.

Does it hurt?

There is discomfort, described as deep heat pulses, and it varies by area. It is manageable and brief, and we can adjust as we go.

When will I see results?

Three months for first change, six for the full effect. It is the slowest treatment we offer and that is inherent to how it works.

How long does it last?

Twelve to eighteen months. It slows the process rather than stopping it, so maintenance is typically every one to two years.

Is there downtime?

None. Mild redness and some tenderness, but you can go back to normal life immediately.

How do I know if I am a candidate?

By being examined. Early laxity responds well, established laxity does not, and that judgement is the reason the consultation exists.
